John Jowitt is the latest addition to the band. John has been a leading light on the Progressive Music stage since the early 1990s, becoming one of the first of the Third Wave musicians to develop an identity and sound that went beyond just being a band member. But what bands! Having played with his own "Ark" he went on to be bass player for Jadis, IQ, Frost*, Arena - worked with Peter Banks from Yes, Angie Bowie, Tim Bowness, the band Rain, and many more. Andy Tillison has fond memories of roadie-ing for him at the Classic Rock Society which unsurprisingly John doesn't remember as well!. John arrives in The Tangent at a point where a new album is being finished, but has still managed to make a mark on it having recorded parts for around half of the running time.
